Recently, he released a brand new single titled \u201cThrough Heaven\u2019s Gate,\u201d which sets the bar higher with an amazing production and a timeless feel.<\/p>\n

What I love about this song is that it combines so many different influences under one roof, going for a fun and diverse feel. The guitar in the verses, with their darker chorus and echo effects, almost remind me of some of Nirvana\u2019s quieter tracks, such as Come As You Are or Lithium. However, the great vocal melodies and the massive layered harmonies in the choruses really remind me of artists such as Bon Jovi as well as Bryan Adams or John Cougar Mellencamp, only to mention a few. What makes Candre\u2019s song special is that it seamlessly combine personable lyrics with some edgy sound. Like many iconic Scandinavian artists, Candre has a great taste for good melodies, and this is something that especially comes through in the hooks.<\/p>\n

From ABBA, to The Ark, to The Hives and even harder rockers like In Flames, I can think of so many Scandinavian artists who understand the important of a good melody and a catchy hook. Candre definitely belongs to this category, as \u201cThrough Heaven\u2019s Gate\u201d has a vocal hook that\u2019s instantly recognizable, and it also plays a nice contrast with the song\u2019s verses. While the verses are generally a bit more laid-back, the refrains are so much more open, giving the track a unique vibe that\u2019s instantly satisfying and very energetic. In addition to that, the song is technically well-recorded and the production is amazing, which also helps to give the track a lot of definition and power. Great sound is not always the most important part, but it sure helps here!<\/p>\n

Regardless of genre definitions and sonic aesthetics, you should definitely check out \u201cThrough Heaven\u2019s Gate,\u201d if you like music that\u2019s spontaneous, fun and forward-thinking! Candre stands out as an excellent songwriter with a lot to say, and this beautiful new single is actually a perfect introduction to this artist\u2019s creative vision and artist concept. He\u2019s is eager to reach the audience with some amazing vibes.<\/p>\n
